Delicious Cinnamon is back, but work is never finished.
I’ve started my journey diving deeper into Javascript and it’s a ton of fun. I almost ended up buying a book, but there are far too many great free resources out there I’ve found such as the book Eloquent Javascript which is great so far. My favorite at the moment is Codecademy because it’s really easy to just drop in and complete an exercise during downtime at work or whenever.
This is how excited I am about Javascript—every, single, day.

This year I decided to sign up and participate in the yearly Reddit secret santa event. Apparently they’re attempting to break their own record again this year for largest secret santa. I just bought something simple for my secret santa match from the online store, sent it on its way, and forgot about it. I wasn’t expecting much for my gift, if I even got one at all. Today I get a small package in the mail with my secret santa gift inside—and it’s awesome!

pwolter0 carved and painted a Team Fortress 2 Engineer magnet for my secret santa gift. I’ve played a lot of Team Fortress 2, but my favorite and most played class has always been the Engineer. I decided pwolter0 is already near the top of my “cool guys” list. Thanks a lot pwolter0! Next year I’ll have to try to make someone something awesome like this.
