For years man has been looking for ways to defeat the evil villainy that is corners. What once was an impossibility is a possibility with a special knife designed to cut corners at their very core. A new layout for this site has this very corner cutting action on display for you to see, but for a limited time only! Get the corners while they are freshly cut.

What was?

I’ve just been sitting here reading “Becoming a Digital Designer” and sipping on my generic exotic drink. Daylife sounds like a pretty fun international news site. If I got anything from reading this section it would be that using more graphic navigation can work better while writing for a more international audience.

Wait, I knew that. Place text on an image, call it news. That sounds more like it. I bet I could get away with that!

The banner was horrible and still is horrible. It will always be horrible, and I am beginning to feel that it should stay that way. The banner is just trying to keep it real you guys, leave it alone. It doesn’t care if it looks so horrible.

But, yeah, this week I changed the banner for the better, and also the top buttons.

THIS IS NEWSWORTHY, IS IT NOT?

This section was empty for like three weeks straight, so I vomited some horrible “arts” all over it. Most of these things should never be seen by anyone. I necessarily don’t consider myself good at anything, and making things look good is one of those anythings.

Ever felt like sawing your toes off very slowly and individually? I have. It was called installing wordpress. I’m sure it helped that I had no idea what I was doing throughout the adventure. You would think that I would feel accomplished now that it is up and doing things as it should.

I don’t.

My favorite part is how the “Continue Reading” link never wants to die after you follow it. I’ll figure out how to fix that some day.

Man, this book is all about designing things digitally and stuff. It is crazy.

On a more serious note, I found the area about visualizing data very interesting. Graphing a schedule based on different priorities could be an interesting thing to try. Exciting almost. I am getting all sweaty just thinking about doing some of that.

Deliciouscinnamon began its existence with a puff of smoke. Much like the big bang, there was something made from nothing in a large explosion. But, instead of an explosion of primordial hot and dense matter into the universe we know today, it was more of an explosion of poorly written css and horribly designed images.

Yes, Deliciouscinnamon started its life in the most beautiful way possible. There is no where to go from here but slightly less horrible.

I wonder why people seem to love walking within inches of my face while I’m standing waiting for the bus. It isn’t as if there isn’t plenty of room for them to walk around. Take a step to the side. I should start freaking them out and jump or something when they get too close. The weird thing about it is that almost everyone does it.

My stomach quivers as I walk along the street towards the apartment. There is something missing in my life, but I didn’t know what it is. I don’t know what to look for, or even where to begin looking. I try to find a way out of this horrible empty feeling when a treasure catches my eye. It is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Hanging above me are the words “Pizza Schmizza” with a single slice of neon pizza. That is when I realize, all I want is pizza. One slice would complete my life. Suddenly a delightful scent catches my attention and lures me into the building. I was caught. I had been angled into the mouth of this beast, but I wouldn’t go down without a fight.

I begin to turn and leave this creature before I get in too deep, but suddenly something catches my attention. A sign is hanging on the wall encouraging me to walk forward, the same sign that guides me across the street to help avoid traffic. This sign has never lied to me before, so why would it lie now? I snap back towards the counter and begin reading the menu. There are so many combinations to choose from. I knew that I would have to choose one, but they all sounded so good. I finally decide on the standard combination which is a standard slice of pizza and a medium drink. I knew that once I placed my order I would be committed. There would be no turning back. I’ll face the consequences.

I place my order and am urged to move to the other side of the counter for pick up. I then realized that I was lost inside of that building. There were so many things to look at, and I wanted to explore them all. I regain myself in front of the new counter and realize that I had been asked a question. “I said, ‘for here or to go?’” I was taken aback. I did not want to leave. I had been strategically been sucked into the belly of this place. I knew what I must do to escape. I tactically responded, “to go, please.”

“Beware of false prophets claiming that drawing is dead and the mouse or joystick is ascendant. Do not forsake the primary design machine, the brain, and its support mechanism, the hand.”

Sure. That is why I bought a tablet. Haw.
