Who!?
My name is Nathaniel Cagle. I am the guy in that awesome picture you see there. I am currently living in Vancouver Washington with my Aunt and Uncle and little cousins, but during the week I mostly stay at my cousin's apartment because of it's proximity to the Art Institute of Portland, which my cousin and I attend. I am majoring in Web Design and Interactive Media.
I grew up in a tiny place called Glendale Oregon. Glendale is a crumb of a city which sits three miles from the nearest freeway. You take the exit, and then you drive through three miles of trees and then you start seeing the smoke from the lumber mills that keep the town alive. The best part of living in Glendale was the fact that I lived on the outskirts of town. You know those trees you have to drive three miles through to get to the town? Drive through another couple of miles of trees from the town and you will probably have found the dirt road. Take that road and you've finally made it!
Living outside of Glendale could make you feel pretty isolated. The internet was like a giant window into what was really happening with life. I came to discover that I wasn't the only one who enjoyed to do the things that I did. It helped me discover that there was a lot more out there than just miles of trees. I hated them; those stupid trees.
It wasn't long until I started feeling the need to make my own place in this awesome treeless world. My earliest memories of exploring web design and making my place was begging my mom to allow me to create an email account so that I could register an account on angelfire. That night I created the most horrible monster of a mashed up copy and pasted website. The next day I proudly declared to my fourth grade class that I could add any of their names to my awesome new website.
Since then I had developed several other monstrosities including several fan sites for various video games, a few personal sites, and a redeveloped website for my high school. Most of these have disappeared off the face of the internet.
